Jill Browne, the actress who has died aged 54, was once a household name as Nurse Carole Young in Emergency - Ward Ten.Jill Browne was born in 1937 and joined the cast of Emergency - Ward Ten at the age of 19. In the course of her long sojourn at Oxbridge she occasionally appeare on the stage. She married twice: first, in 1964 (dissolved 1970), John Alderton, the actor who played Dr Richard Moore; and secondly, in 1971, Brian Wolfe, a theatrical producer.................. after work dried up retired as an actress in 1973. In 1988 she began a new career as a receptionist and telephonist.
