João Guilherme Biehl is a Brazilian anthropologist and theologian currently based at Princeton University. He specializes in medical anthropology and is the winner of the Rudolph Virchow Award given by the Society for Medical Anthropology. He was also awarded the Margaret Mead Award in 2007. His interests include medical anthropology, social studies of science and technology, psychological anthropology, globalization and development, Latin American societies.
