Short Biography
Chef and owner, Mark Baker, created Baker's Treat NYC in 1999, and, hasn't looked back since. The CIA trained Baker grew up around the world as an Army brat, and, developed a love of cooking at an early age. He worked in numerous Michelin restaurants prior to opening his business, and, met his late wife, Patricia, while working in Aruba. Tragedy struck when Patricia was killed by a drunk driver in 2005 leaving Mark, and, their daughter, Melanie, behind.Mark took on the challenge of being a single parent with the same zest he takes on each and every catering event like it is the most important thing in the world - because to him - it is!
