Short Biography
Peter Richard Orszag (/ˈɔrzæɡ/; born December 16, 1968) is an American economist who is a Vice Chairman of Corporate and Investment Banking and Chairman of the Financial Strategy and Solutions Group at Citigroup. He is also a columnist at Bloomberg View and a Nonresident Senior Fellow at the Brookings Institution. Before joining Citigroup, he was a Distinguished Visiting Fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations and a contributing columnist for the New York Times Op-Ed page. Prior to that, he was the 37th Director of the Office of Management and Budget under President Barack Obama and had also served as the Director of the Congressional Budget Office.
